From Ski Towns to Big Dreams

Life lately, fun facts, and where I’m headed next

What a start to the New Year and all the adventures ahead. New Years is always my favorite with vision planning, goal setting. This year my husband and I followed the BINGO card trend that I have a feeling will be my new favorite for us to do.

With the new year I have big goals and big visions for myself, my relationships and the impact that I can make. To do that I felt it was important to do an intro and give the back story of who I am and some fun facts that always give that “what really” reaction when I mention them.

To catch up on life right now, Our family consists of the two of us and our ever quickly growing boys who will turn 5 and 2 this year. (Hard to believe I just wrote those ages!)

I work a full time position from a company that started working in 2019 as a recruiter, personal assistant for the CEO and our marketing admin. Basically over the last six years I have been the office go to for accountability and when things need to get done. In addition to my full time job I started my Virtual Assistant business in August 2023. Through my business I have primarily served real estate agents and non profits but have supported photographers, doulas, marketing agencies and start up organizations.

My business came to be from my strong passion to support others behind the scenes so finding the VA world has been such a light giving joy.

Alright enough of the recap for now at least and on to the fun facts that I know you're curious about.

Fun Facts That Might Surprise You About Me

✨First up - I was born in Vail, Colorado and grew up in Frisco, a small quaint little ski town near the major ski resorts of Keystone/Breckenridge HOWEVER I didn’t touch the slopes until I met my husband in 2015. I know I kick myself daily with all the time on the slopes I missed.

✨I have a degree in Sports Management from MSU Denver. I had the dream of being a high school athletic director after falling in love with managing the football and basketball teams in high school. I am forever grateful for my football coach taking a chance on me as it has truly led to my passion for supporting others in the level of service I do.

✨My husband and I were married in Boulder, CO in 2017. It was a fun brunch wedding on the river, right after the reception we headed to DIA to San Francisco for our honeymoon which led us to be on a TV show trying Japanese food. Definitely not a planned adventure but one of our favorite memories to look back on!

✨Since being married my husband and I have moved to Texas from Colorado, back to Colorado and as of September 2024 we now live in Bloomington/Normal, Illinois. Our move to Texas was with our 18 month old at the time and our move to Illinois was with our 3 year old and 2 month old. What can I say other than we love adventure and want to show that to our boys as well!

And that about covers it!. It is always so fun telling these facts as they aren’t everyday conversation points. In 2026 I am hoping to add some new hobbies to my belt while getting back to my old hobbies now that our boys are getting more independent.

I’d love to hear your favorite fun fact about yourself. I’d love to connect on Instagram - click here and introduce yourself!
